Natural Display in Dental Aesthetics
Pale and opaque display of the teeth might look insufficient to the patient in terms of lacking translucence.

There are various factors that dentists pay attention. Cutting the edge area of teeth and structural integrity also play important role in this case.

Colour and Ceramic Teeth
Colour analysis is highly important when we consider porcelain and partly laminated teeth that which we work upon on outer layers of teeth. First step is to choose the primary colour. Saturation, brightness, and translucency are analysed afterwards. If colour measurements are not compatible with the rest of your natural teeth, there is a chance you may experience an artificial feel. Only a dentist would differentiate other inconsistencies and evaluate the criteria. There are differences when it is porcelain laminated teeth. Avoiding excessive corrosion and leaving a small amount of enamel tissue under laminated area should be priority. All these are done to deliver the most natural look possible since the tooth under lamination reflects light.

What exactly is Smile Analysis process?
This process is conducted to measure the compatibility, of your tooth, lips, and structural features of your face to deliver the smile you desire.

First appointment of Smile Analysis
In this step, our patient would be invited discuss their problems, desires, and expectations. Reality of expectations is highly important to deliver the most concrete result and not get disappointed afterwards. Psychological assessments and character analyses carry high importance in this phase. The dentist incentivises patient to talk to assess how teeth-jaw relationship works. Intraoral, extraoral, facial structure, smile and lip closer of patient are meticulously examined. Upper and lower jaw mock-ups are prepared.

Planning Treatment Options
After analyses such as skin colour, age and facial structure, dental expert would present you the ideal teeth you could have. During this step, collected data is evaluated. Treatment cost, information about procedure, taken images regarding mouth are examined with patient and process is finalized after decision is made.

Treatment Plan
This is the step where the ideal plan is confirmed together with patient. After considering socio-economic factors and other criteria, the dentist presents how the teeth are going to look in post-operation.

Porcelain Laminate Veneers
Main point of Laminate porcelains is that they are quite thin ceramic products and are specifically used on anterior teeth. Porcelain laminates are widely applied to our patients who are dissatisfied with the colour of their teeth, broken tooth, abraded or overlapped complications as well as who are diagnosed with diastema. Pivot point during the process is the preparation phase of teeth through abrading 0.5mm of its surface

Laminate porcelains are attached to the teeth with the help of a special dentistry adhesive technique. But how is it this thin material so strong? Because porcelain implants show similar characteristics to the enamel after attachment is done. Abrasing the teeth, measuring them, manufacturing and application processes are conducted very meticulously during treatment so that our patient would leave our clinic with high comfort and standards

Laminate Porcelain application is suitable for:
If you suffer from broken and/or notched anterior teeth or any structural deficiency.
If you suffer from colour deficiency on your teeth and/or not satisfied with their display
If you have stains on your teeth caused by tetracycline or excessive consumption of fluorine
If you had root canal treatment prior to this operation
If you suffer from diastema on anterior teeth
First Appointment
Your dentist will analyse your teeth structure by taking your jaw, facial structure records, taken photographs, lower and upper jaw models, present tooth colour taking into consideration. Later, your demands and expectations would be discussed. Meanwhile, your temporary laminates are fitted onto your teeth and there will a general idea of how process is going to happen.

Preparing the Teeth: Cutting teeth surface
Dentist decides whether anaesthesia is required or not before the operation. Main point of this phase is to proceed with as little cuts as possible. Dentist may need to make cuts ranging from 0.5mm to 2.00mm. Our aim here is to create a laminate surface that shares the same thickness with the teeth. However, some cases have shown that if your teeth are located deep behind means no cut is required.

Measuring
Measuring laminate porcelains are done by a very sensitive operation after which your mock ups are prepared in lab environment. During process, dentist, and technician work together to bring the desired result.

Temporary Laminate
When cutting phase is done, you will feel a ragged surface on your teeth along with sharp and cornered areas. Because enamel levels are now reduced on your teeth, you may feel extra sensitivity with hot and cold. To eliminate these flaws, your temporary laminate will be planted on your teeth. Temporary laminates are composite products and takes a little time to prepare them. They are not as durable as your permanent laminates so you should be careful not to break them while using.

Fixing Laminate Porcelains
To eliminate unforeseen flaws, we first perform a demo process to see if everything is ready according to plan. While this process is going on, the dentist may perform adjustments to your laminates to give them the desired shape. Because laminates are not super durable, they are not fixed in your mouth during demo phase, so it would not be possible to see the real colour. Therefore, you will be able to see the real colour of your teeth after they are fixed.

However, there are water-soluble trial pastes that help you see the final colour in some cases.

The technique used to fix these laminates are different than other porcelain insertion operations. In fixing phase, teeth and laminates are done at the same time, washed and dried. During first phase, your teeth surface will be etched with the help of phosphoric acid. Etching is an operation that requires microscopic attention and helps adhesive to be applied in a proper way. Later, your bonding will be done. This bonding help cement to stick to surface correctly through chemical route. After bonding process, they will be silaned (a chemical process). Chemical applications are done meticulously. Later, dentist positions the adhesive to the inner surface of the cemented laminate. As for cleaning, excess adhesive is cleaned thoroughly. A specific wavelength is reflected on the surface of teeth. At the end of the procedure, dentist checks your lip closure and ends the operation with finishing touches.

Non-Metal Porcelain Crowns
There are many non-metal porcelain crowns in zirconium and alumina products. Your dentist will choose the material to be used after the examination. Zirconium material provide durability and the aesthetic look we aim to achieve and is preferred to be applied around posterior teeth area. On the other hand, other non-metal porcelain products are preferred for anterior area.

Zirconium Crowns have the durability ranging from 900 to 1400 Mpa whereas metal porcelains have roughly up to 800 Mpa or even less. Zirconium material is also commonly used to construct 3–4-unit bridges. Since they have the identical colour of your natural teeth there will not be any grey display around gum area.

Aesthetic Fillings
These are the fillers that consist of silicon dioxide particles. Nowadays, these are preferred for applications which are done on all teeth surfaces, on posterior teeth as well.

Porcelain Inlays & Onlays
Dentist may want to remove amalgam fillings on your posterior teeth and place porcelain inlay fillings. These fillings are hard that have durable structure to be placed on cavities after cleaning the decay. Fillings are fixated by using a special mix of bonding material. Inlays are fillings to cover chewing parts of your teeth, however, onlays cover larger surfaces such as lateral parts.

Features of Inlays & Onlays
These products are fabricated to hinder substantial tooth loss. Only the decay is cleaned by following certain criteria. Modelling tooth and measuring are done and are sent to laboratory after which your porcelain is fixated on teeth.

Main Properties
During operation, dentist would not cut the tooth as it is done with crown placements. Decay on teeth is cleaned. These Inlays & Onlays would not change any colour in time. Because they are fabricated with porcelain material, these cannot be fixated on coloured substances. Protecting tooth against force is one of the advantages they provide thanks to their durable structure. Inlays & Onlays would not cause any loss of aesthetical quality as compared to amalgam fillings. These products are designed to fit your natural tooth colour. Only 2 sessions would suffice to place them. Polished surface, food remains would not be stuck on teeth surface. Made of porcelain, they eliminate the possibility of “polymerization shrink” that are seen in composite filling operations after fixation, so, there would not be any over-sensitivity towards hot and cold. Operations where teeth with major substance loss, specifically, root canal treatment, porcelain onlays could only repair lost substances with the help of adhesive intervention.

Metal-Porcelain Application
These are placed if there is any decay under gum area, patient is experiencing high amount of substance loss or broken teeth are present. There are two types of crowns, metal, and non-metal. Metal crowns are preferred on posterior teeth for they provide grey reflections that are seen on gingival line and opaque display.

Non-metal porcelains are mainly used in aesthetic operations.
Natural teeth transmit light, however metal crowns reflect this thus shatters the depth feeling and vitality substantially. Dentists, nowadays, are capable of fabricating thin porcelains with spray procedure. Metal products are budget option compared to others.

What is Digital Dentistry?
CEREC is a technology that is used in short-term restoration treatments, this includes high-quality ceramic materials to design desired teeth in digital environment to deliver the ideal result to our patients. Software that digitalizes teeth in CEREC allows teeth design to be perfected with aesthetic touch in effort to deliver the exact measurements with our patient’s mouth and face. During process, flaws are digitalized and made fit in best form possible. Nowadays, CEREC is universally accepted as a modern solution.

CEREC is used in following procedures:
Laminate Veneer (leaf porcelain applications, contact lens laminations)

Zirconium Crowns
Porcelain Filling treatments since it provides the ideal solution in short period.

Smile design and aesthetic porcelains

Treatments that include broken and cracked tooth

Treatments that include filling the gaps, restoring teeth deformations

Composite filling operations
CEREC overtook most known old treatment ways since it delivers advantages regarding easy application, high compatibility, and success rate.

What advantages does it provide?
CEREC has reduced treatment periods to 1 week which also means treatment can be done in one session only. This method could provide a unique design to each patient along with visible restoration. A treatment session takes 30 minutes maximum without requiring any tooth filling or reconstruction.

Single Appointment Treatments
Your dentist will be monitoring the whole process during your treatment. Thanks to this technique, no dental prosthesis or filler is required. All steps are digitalized. It is highly sterile, aesthetic, fast and effective.

How does CEREC technique make work?
First, your dentist will 3D measure your teeth through a digital camera.

Teeth you desire are designed after your mouth’s anatomic structure is examined.

To make sure everything is in order, a ceramic and/or hybrid ceramic block is inserted in scraping unit.

Can whitening leave damage on my teeth?
Usually, it delivers no problematic results. However, if operation is repeated several times, it may damage the enamel structure. Don’t worry, dentist will inform you regarding it.

Am I going to have no teeth during smile design operation?
Your dental expert would provide you temporary teeth if you were planned to have following operations, zirconium crown placement, Hollywood smile, porcelain crown placement. Until treatment is done, patient should wear their temporary prosthesis.
